The 2017 holiday season was a big year for monster house fun! Jessica and Fran Brown of Tempe challenged us to create seasonal decor to span three months - from Halloween to Christmas. Inspired by "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas", we set out to bring whimsical character to both their home and themselves. This could very well have set a new record for us; having created it all within five weeks.

2016 was the 75th anniversary for both Jeep™ and Red Rocks Amphitheater® culminating in the "Jeep On The Rocks" 75th Anniversary Concert. In partnership with our great friends at Scenic Mercenary Studios, in Denver, CO, we were able to produce this fun piece for the event. Using "bullet-time" photography Jeep™ was able to capture the energy that the guests came to the show with and we were able to help.
Later the the set was commissioned and expanded upon by the city of Denver to promote the city, parks and recreations during a key convention in Washington D.C. in the summer of 2017.
Welcome to "Mustang Village". You'll find a market, cafe, art museum and recycling center among the shops and storefronts. Peek at the animals in the petstore or catch a movie at the theater...
Of course this is all illusion. Using nothing but paint we transformed this school into anytown, U.S.A.
There is no place quite like Stepping Stones Academy. A charter school in the North Valley of Phoenix, it is an institution built from the heart.
Friend, House music DJ and fellow snowboard fanatic, Deon was planning the event of the year in his Tahoe community. He called upon us to help create a DJ booth surround that was an experience in itself!
Multi-color LED lights bring his logo to life. Remote controls give the user the ability to customize the lighting experience to fit any environment or synchronize to any beat. One bonus feature of this clever design concept...
the logo detaches, allowing it to be used as a wall mounted sign!
If it were not for the great partnerships with our friends at Tellme Scenic Solutions (Denver), Scenic Mercenary Studios (Denver), Set Monsters (RIP), Shadow Mountain Productions and Pacific Event Productions, we would have been left out of the creation process for some of these great pieces -- "Electric Forest Music Festival 2017", "Canyon Moon", "Desert Power", "Fire and Ice" and "Electric Entry".
We had the opportunity to take this project from bare studs all the way to dramatic faux treatments and sculpted rock facades. Dr. Palmer's vision was to help his patients escape the daily grind and transport them to a serene red rock canyon. He saw a beautiful blue sky overhead with an exquisite mountain landscape rising in the distance. We helped develop this concept using models and large scale samples.
Then using sculpted Styrofoam, acrylic mortar and paint we carved out his vision. The space is an experience! Music and lighting really work with the surroundings to calm and soothe Dr. Palmer's patients, as well as his staff.
Owner Tom had a bold vision... turn his brick ranch into a french / irish inspired provincial cottage. He came with idea books filled with images torn from magazines. We began the sample process.
The entire home was transformed. Walls, ceilings, doors, cabinets and shutters all received dramatic faux finishes. The finished home is a masterpiece. Walking in you are transported to another time and place.
We had such a great time working on this project. An amazing crew of artisans became great friends. One of our most dramatic before and after pictures to date!
These images really help tell the story . . .

One of our dearest clients and the owner of Oasis Bedrooms is a kid at heart. He came to us looking for ideas for the kids area of one of his showrooms. The mural depicts a child's dream; complete with fairies, robots and spaceships.
At the next store we created an underwater mural with pirate ships and all sorts of sea creatures. Monotone color schemes kept the mural stylized and subdued.
We used a similar style in our third location. This mural depicts the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. At all three locations we developed beautiful custom finishes. Metallic paints, crackle finishes and Venetian plasters are some of the treatments you'll see in the Oasis Gallery.
Branding, badges, icons, logos, Ui, Ux, layouts and more.
We partnered with our friends at Set Monsters to deliver fun and unique character vignettes to Gila River Casino during promotional events. Whimsical characters and glittering holiday decor are featured in this gallery.
An array of theme park projects, murals and stage sets.
Our client wanted a transformation. Gothic meets Spanish Contemporary...
A local celebrity wanted her exterior colors to match the earth tones surrounding her home. We retexured the surface creating faux crumbling stone and plaster. Details such as custom shutters and window boxes completed the look.
Inside she continued her vision. Her dream fireplace became reality as we recreated it using plaster and paint. In the bedroom she hoped to bring the feel of the dressing chamber in a Gothic castle. Venetian plaster, custom furnishings, fabrics and even stained glass combined in dramatic fashion. Our client finally has her castle on the hill.
Fauxes, finishes and fancy installs.
From brain to paper, it's part of the process.
